Children will explore banksias through shape, pattern and repetition, using triangles and geometric forms to create bold, graphic drawings.
Led by botanist and artist Katie White, this session invites kids to look closely at the structure of banksias and reimagine them in a playful, abstract way. By working with a limited set of shapes and patterns, participants will experiment with design, rhythm and composition while developing their drawing skills.
The workshop encourages careful observation, creative problem-solving and a fresh way of seeing familiar native plants.
