LASTING LEGACY
Leave a gift that inspires creativity for generations to come.
For nearly 50 years, the Cannery Arts Centre has been a place where creativity, community and connection thrive. By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help ensure the Cannery continues to nurture artists, inspire creativity and provide a welcoming space for our community for generations to come.
We have been incredibly honoured to receive our first bequest from the late Christian James ‘Chris’ Siemer, a Life Member, former Chairperson and much-loved local sculptor whose contribution to the arts in Esperance has been extraordinary. Chris generously left a significant bequest to the Cannery Arts Centre, extending his lifelong commitment to creativity and community well beyond his lifetime. We are deeply grateful for his generosity and proud to honour his legacy by investing in the Cannery's future.
Investing in our future
Bequests received by the Cannery Arts Centre are added to our financial reserves and invested to build long-term financial sustainability. This helps strengthen our independence, safeguard our future and ensure we can continue creating opportunities for artists and our community for many years to come. Every bequest, large or small, can make a lasting difference.
How to leave a bequest
If you would like to include the Cannery Arts Centre in your Will, we have prepared an information sheet with our legal details and suggested wording that you can share with your solicitor.
You can choose to leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or particular assets. We encourage gifts for the Cannery's general purposes, allowing us to respond to the needs and opportunities of future generations.
We understand that leaving a gift in your Will is a deeply personal decision. If you would like to discuss your intentions, we would love to hear from you. All conversations will be treated with care and confidentiality, and we will always respect your wishes regarding acknowledgement or anonymity.
