Do you want to try a new crafting hobby, but don’t want don’t know where to start or don’t want to commit to all the materials?

At The Hobby Collectors, we share materials, ideas and inspirations so you can experiment, learn and discover new passions without accumulating more!

Join Cami and Grace each fortnight to learn a new craft, from embroidery and crochet, to painting tote bags, polymer clay creations and more. Sessions will begin with a short demonstration of the chosen craft and the you will be left to make your own creations, meaning it’s perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters alike.

WHEN: Fortnightly on Monday evenings | 5 - 7 PM

WHERE: Cannery Arts Centre Print Room

PRICE: Pay as you feel. We believe that everyone should have access to experimenting with new crafts. At the end of each session you will have the opportunity to pay as you feel via cash or card. If you are unable to make a monetary payment, we also accept materials as a donation - fabric, yarn, paints, whatever you have to spare!

MATERIALS: All materials provided unless specified. Just bring yourself and an openness to learn!

SESSION 1 | Whimsify your Wardrobe | 20th July & 3rd August

Do you have a jacket, bag, hat, or top that needs a little more whimsy? Over two sessions we are inviting you to bring in a piece from your wardrobe that needs a little spicing up. We'll have beads, buttons, fabrics, and threads for you to create a new life for your piece. Cami and Grace will guide you through some techniques and then you will be free to create whatever your heart desires!

WHEN: This session will run over two fortnights, Monday 20th July & Monday 3rd August, to allow you to slow down and focus on the act of making. Feel free to come to one or both sessions!

MATERIALS: All materials will be supplied, just bring an item that you would like to spice up with something new (hat, bag, jumper etc.)
