Children will continue exploring linocut stamp making in this hands-on workshop with visiting Artist in Residence Samantha Thompson.
Guided by a professional artist, participants will design and carve their own stamps using specialist linocutting tools and high-quality materials. Kids will build confidence working with pattern, positive and negative space, and printmaking processes, before inking and printing with their handmade stamps.
This session works beautifully as a stand-alone workshop, or as a follow-up to Stamp It Up (Session 1) the day before — offering extra time to refine techniques, build confidence and experiment further with stamping and printing. Children will leave with a collection of original stamps they’ve designed and created themselves.
