Energy in Ecology is a hands-on art and science workshop where creativity meets the natural world. Led by local ecologist Katie White, children will explore the coastal shrublands surrounding the Cannery to discover where energy exists in nature and how it moves through ecosystems.
Participants will investigate trophic (energy) levels, then translate their observations into drawings, maps and artworks. Each child will create their own energy map painting on paper to take home — a creative snapshot of how energy flows through the environment around them.
