ESHS | Exhibition of Creative Works

  • Cannery Arts Centre Norseman Road Esperance, WA, 6450 Australia (map)

There’s a lot of creativity happening at Esperance Senior High School and this exhibition brings it out of the classroom and into the gallery.

Featuring work by students from Years 7 to 11, An Exhibition of Creative Works is a lively mix of art, design and making. Expect painting and drawing alongside jewellery, ceramics, textiles, photography, woodwork and metalwork, with plenty of different ideas, styles and personalities on show.

It’s a chance for students to see their work up on the gallery walls, and for the rest of us to get a glimpse of what Esperance’s next generation of artists, designers and makers are creating.

Opening night will also feature live performances from Esperance Senior High School music students, bringing even more young local talent into the Cannery.

Come along, have a look, support our young creatives and you might just discover an artist to keep an eye on.

Opening: Wed 4 Nov at 6pm.
Performance from the ESHS Guitar Ensemble.
All welcome. Complimentary refreshments. Alcohol free event.

Exhibition: Wed 4 Nov to Sun 15 Nov
Opening Hours: Tues to Fri 10am to 4pm | Sat to Sun 12pm to 4pm

Esperance Senior High School

Esperance Senior High School gives students plenty of opportunities to get creative, try new things and develop their own style.

Across Years 7–9, students can explore everything from Visual Arts, Animation and Photography to Jewellery, Textiles and Technical Graphics, working with a mix of traditional, digital and hands-on techniques. As they move through the senior years, students can continue developing their skills through areas such as jewellery, wood, textiles, metals and digital technologies.

Students also get the chance to share what they create beyond the classroom. Their work has been selected for statewide exhibitions including Young Originals, while the school’s annual exhibition at the Cannery Arts Centre gives students the experience of seeing their work hanging in a real gallery, sharing it with family, friends and the wider Esperance community - and celebrating just how much creative talent is coming through our local high school.

Variety of work by Esperance Senior High School Students, 2026.
