KIDS ACCESS ALL AREAS VOUCHERS-Reserve and use at the Cannery Arts Centre

The Kids Access All Areas Vouchers program is an exciting new initiative for Western Australian children aged 5 to 15 to attend arts and cultural events. Vouchers for the first round are limited and can be reserved until 30 April 2026, unless otherwise exhausted. You will then have until 31 May 2026 to buy tickets and claim your rebate. The next round of Kids Access All Areas Vouchers is planned to open in August 2026. Kids Access All Areas vouchers are limited to 1 per eligible child for the entire program. If you reserve a voucher in the first release, you won’t be eligible for the second release. Any unused balance on first round vouchers expires after 31 May 2026. Rebates must be claimed by 31 May 2026. Parents and guardians of children aged 5 to 15 can reserve one $50 voucher per child, up to a maximum of 4 children for $200.

ARTLAB: Painting in the Negative with Kate Driscoll – Art Teacher Life

Join experienced art teacher Kate Driscoll from Art Teacher Life and explore the bold, eye-catching technique of negative space painting in this hands-on 4-hour workshop with local art teacher Kate Driscoll. You’ll start by layering colour and pattern across your canvas using stencils and acrylic paint, then learn how to use the space around your shapes to make your design really stand out.

This session is perfect for beginners and beyond — whether you're looking to loosen up your painting style or simply try something new in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Kate brings years of experience as a primary school art teacher and adult educator, and she’ll guide you step-by-step through the process.

You’ll leave with a framed artwork ready to hang on your wall and a bunch of new creative skills under your belt.
