A LAUNCHPAD EXHIBITION FOR REGIONAL WA EMERGING / EARLY CAREER ARTISTS
Emerging Artists Mentoring Program 03 August – 24 December 2026 & Exhibition Port Hedland | 15 January – 26 March 2027
The Courthouse Gallery + Studio, managed by The Junction Co., is seeking emerging and early-career artists living in regional Western Australia (Goldfields–Esperance, Kimberley, Pilbara, or South West) to participate in Radius 8.0 – Regional Partner Program.
Radius 8.0 – Regional Partner Program is a launchpad initiative combining a structured mentorship program with a group exhibition. The program supports regional artists to develop their practice through guidance from experienced mentors and provides opportunities to present work in a professional gallery environment. The program supports both the development of new work and the presentation of selected works in a group exhibition.
All selected artists will receive an artist fee for participation in the program.
We welcome proposals in all mediums, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, textiles, digital media, photography, and performance-based practices.
Program Details
Mentorship
Four one-on-one sessions with an experienced mentor, plus one group session designed to foster connection, collaboration, and shared learning.
Artistic Development + Exhibition
Artists will develop new work and/or continue the development of existing or in-progress work throughout the program period. Selected works will be presented in the WA Regional Emerging Artists Group Exhibition in Port Hedland.
Artist Fee
All selected artists will receive an artist fee for participation in the program.
This fee recognises the artist’s time, engagement, and creative development throughout the program and supports the ongoing development of new work and/or continuation of existing or in-progress work during the program period.

EOI Submission Deadline: 28 July 2026, 4pm AWST
Artists Selected: 31 July 2026, 4pm AWST
Mentorship Sessions: August – November 2026 (4 individual sessions + 1 group session)
Final Artwork Submission: 12 December 2026
Artwork Delivery (latest): 24 December 2026

Eligibility
To be eligible to submit an Expression of Interest for Radius 8.0 – Regional Partner Program, applicants must be able to confirm the following:
Residency in Participating Regional Areas
Applicants must live in one of the program’s participating regions: Goldfields–Esperance, Kimberley, Pilbara, or South West.
Emerging / Early-Career Artist
I confirm that I am an emerging or early-career artist in the early stages of developing my professional artistic practice. This may include artists who are self-taught, recently graduated, or who are still establishing a consistent exhibition history or public presentation of their work. I am seeking opportunities to develop my practice, skills, and professional experience.
Original Work
I confirm that the artwork I am submitting is original and has not been previously exhibited in a professional gallery or curated exhibition context, and is intended for development and presentation through this program.
