Pauline Bonney is an Australian First Nations artist of Wongi, Wudjari, and Mirning heritage. Working across visual art, clothing design, and social and emotional wellbeing, her practice is grounded in culture, connection, and lived experience.
Coming from a strong lineage of artists, Pauline has always been deeply connected to the creative process. For her, art is more than expression; it is a way of understanding, storytelling, and reconnecting to self and spirit.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Pauline immerses herself in the rhythms of Country. Through observation and intuition, she translates these experiences into visual forms that reflect balance, resilience, and flow.
Pauline’s work spans visual art (expressive, intuitive works inspired by nature and connection), clothing design (wearable art that carries story, culture, and meaning), and wellbeing facilitation (creative workshops that support emotional regulation, grounding, and self-connection). Her art explores themes relating to Connection to Country, identity and cultural continuity, emotional awareness and healing, and inner balance and personal growth.
Pauline and her sister Carol are currently working on setting up an Art Wellness Retreat business with the end goal being participants learning wellness and resilience through art. With their combined knowledge, they understand that there is a huge need for support around wellness and art, in its many forms, can be a great tool.
