Kendel Lynam is a self-taught artist and the founder of Denmark Art Club, which she established nine years ago as a space to share creativity, connection, and joy through art. Her artistic journey began with a love of making and experimenting, and has grown into a practice that not only celebrates artistic expression but also brings people together in meaningful ways.

Through Denmark Art Club, Kendel facilitates a wide range of workshops and classes—welcoming children of all ages, adults, people with additional needs, and anyone curious to explore their creative side. From paint-and-sip evenings and drink-and-draw sessions to wet felting, Turkish lamps, and corporate team-building events, she champions art as something playful, inclusive, and accessible to all. Kendel also brings creativity into the community through face painting at local events and hands-on workshops for birthdays and celebrations.

During her residency at the Cannery Arts Centre, Kendel will deliver wet felting and Turkish lantern workshops for adults, sharing her skills and passion for tactile, hands-on creativity in a welcoming, social setting.

Her work is less about technical perfection and more about sparking imagination, building confidence, and creating shared experiences. She believes that everyone has an artist within them, and her role is to provide the tools, encouragement, and safe space for that creativity to shine.
