This workshop will provide you with an understanding of how to turn seasonal fresh produce into jars of delicious goodness that will last all year round.
The workshop will include an overview of how to prepare and process fresh fruit and vegetables as well as practical hands on experience.
Working in pairs, participants will make and take home both a savoury relish and sweet jam.
Participants are asked to bring along at least 6 x 250-500ml food quality glass jars with good quality fitted lids if possible (these do not have to be new jars!).

Kylie Ryan, from Maid for the Market, makes jams, sauces and relishes from produce grown on a small hobby farm about 10 minutes drive from Esperance. Kylie is keen to encourage others to take advantage of when surplus seasonal fruits and vegetables are available by turning them into preserved goodies that can last and be enjoyed all year round. Kylie has been making jams and sauces etc for several years and has been selling a wide range of home grown and home made produce at the Esperance Growers Market and Museum Village Markets for the past few years.
