This short course is suitable for those who have never attempted a drawing course in the past, as well as those looking to hone their skills. Set at Taylor St Quarters, this 2 part course will explore portraiture in particular. Artist and tutor Jason Wooldridge will give a concise introduction to the art of portrait drawing, exploring the anatomy of the face while sharing the secrets of how to achieve a likeness using perception, space, shadow and measurement - in a relaxed, fun and enjoyable environment. All materials provided. Food & drinks purchased separately from the Quarters. Please note, this course takes place fortnightly, on November 14th and 28th.
Tutor Jason Wooldridge is an Esperance based teacher, designer, sculptor, photographer and public artist. He has worked as a senior school educator for over 15 years, both here in Australia and the United Kingdom. He has been involved with several local public art projects including the Esperance foreshore’s Whaletail and Direction sculptures.
