Run over 6 weeks, this course will cater to those who have limited hand building experience, and those who have not dabbled in pottery before or have. With a focus on hand building and the principals of glazing, participants will learn to create unique tableware. A variety of clays will be used which will reflect various looks and textures in finished pieces.
All materials are provided however this includes one bag of clay; participants may purchase additional clay, and there may also be additional costs for fees associated with additonal firings (specifically for items such as large platters and several dinner plates, as these items take up a lot of room in the kiln).
It is recommended that participants wear appropriate clothing and bring along a towel, as well we a pad of paper and a pen. Finished products are generally ready for pick up 3 weeks after the course has finished.
