Dot style paintings are well recognised as unique and integral to Australian Indigenous Art. The patterns and images created are beautifully aesthetic, but also portray hidden messages and deeper meanings. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon immersed in Indigenous culture, while learning about this style of art, and creating your own to take home.

Tutor: Jacinta Maher. Jacinta Maher is a First Nations woman from Kalgoorlie, of the Ngudgu and Yamatji people ( Norseman, Geraldton area). She learnt how to paint when she was a young girl by watching her mother paint, and she finds that painting helps her cope with the stresses of everyday life. Jacinta loves to paint and to teach others to paint.
