The Living Reef Festival, taking place in Esperance during August 2022, invites the Esperance community to join Artist Angela Rossen, Musician Thea Rossen, Scientists and Cultural Leaders in the exciting workshops and community events to explore and document the living things of the Esperance Reef.


Throughout these events the people of Esperance will create a collection of paintings, drawings and photographs celebrating the wonder and beauty of the Great Southern Reef.  The survey exhibition of these works will open with a community celebration on 24 August and remain on display at the Cannery Arts Centre until 9 October.

5 August  Reef Soundscape Performance - Come and hear the soundscape orchestra


14 August Community Bird Walk - Community Coastal Bird Walk with Esperance Bird Observers


17 August Nature Study Painting - Learn how to paint a nature study


20 August Walk on Country - Walk on beach with Wudjari Nyungar Elder Annie Dabb
