Lighting techniques

In this half-day workshop learn contemporary gallery practices in how lighting can be used to best effect to suit artworks and exhibitions. Using the Cannery lighting system participants will be guided through a practical workshop assisting with the lighting of the Ngala Wongga (Come Talk) exhibition to open at the Cannery on the 11th October

Facilitator: Fiona Gavino

Through her role as Training Officer with ART ON THE MOVE, Fiona travels the state giving practical workshops to increase skills, knowledge and awareness of visual art professional practices. Fiona Gavino is also a practicing artist who works with a broad range of textiles, fibres and natural or found materials to create sculptural, woven artworks that are beautiful as well as environmentally sensitive. The artist holds a BA in Visual Art from Charles Darwin University and has exhibited at FORM, PICA and the Museum and Art Gallery NT.
